John J Goldrosen 

John Goldrosen wrote Buddy Holly: His Life and Music, a widely praised 1975 biography. The book traces Buddy Holly's path from his childhood in Lubbock, Texas, to 1950s rock stardom and his tragic 1959 death.

John grew up in Worcester, Massachusetts, USA and graduated from Harvard in 1971.  After graduation, he spent two yours on this book, researching what we now take for granted in Buddy Holly's story, as he was instrumental in gaining knowledge and facts from the important players around Buddy Holly & The Crickets, whilst they were still alive.

Whilst at Harvard, he served on the staff of WHRB-FM, where he produced and announced programmes on Rock & Roll and trad Jazz. This is the book the movie "The Buddy Holly Story" was based.

John co-wrote "Remembering Buddy", (the Buddy Holly Bible) with John Beecher (of Rollercoaster Records)
