John Beecher

John Beecher was born in Surrey, England and in 1957, he was first introduced to Buddy Holly & The Crickets by a friend.  His fascination and interest in Buddy Holly & The Crickets took hold and John, whilst in his teens, ran fan clubs for Buddy Holly & The Crickets, which later led to him a career in Music Publishing, via a recommendation from Norman Petty.

 

By the 1970's, he convinced MCA Records to allow him to repackage Buddy Holly & The Crickets catalogues, resulting in a cooperation with Malcolm Jones, producing the now iconic "Complete Buddy Holly" box set".

John, based in Gloucester, England, set up Rollercoaster Records and released Rock & Roll material through his label/company, and has done for many years. He was involed with The Crickets over the years and co-Produced their "Cruise In It" single in 1978.

He also co-wrote "Remembering Buddy" with John Goldrosen.
