Jack Neal

Born March 3, 1934 Fort Worth Tx, - 11th March, 2015

Jack was Buddy Holly's first singing duet partner in what was to be known as "Buddy & Jack", which preceded "Buddy & Bob".  Jack (15) was a local lad in Lubbock, who was working for Buddy's father as a Carpenter's helper, as Mr Holley ran a tile business.  Jack had his guitar one day and whilst playing it, Buddy's father remarked that his son Buddy (13) played guitar too. So they ended up jamming together and realised it worked.

Jack's sister told Hi Pockets Duncan at KDAV Radio, that her brother and his pal played guitar and sang, and that they would be good for their radio shows. They soon started The Saturday Night Jamboree then they started The Buddy & Jack shows on Sundays.
